Fan belt replaced, you do not need to remove the fan, what you need is an
elongated 15 mm spanner and a
hook if you work alone, to catch the belt.
- After 11 years origenal battery replaced, magic eye went black and after
recharging it went white. Liquid level too low ?. But still functioning.
- replaced bij Dynac 60038 [100Ah], attention + pole is on the right side
and both poles are lowered. And the battery is longer 350 mm

- Cylinders are replaced with stainless steel ones and new seals were
applied.. Very difficult to assemble.
- Rear right wheel bearings OK but oily, blue spacer. Seal replaced.
- Rear left wheel bearings less OK, one replaced, the inner one, some wear
on the stub. blue spacer, also oily, seal replaced.
- Cylinders in frontbrakes replaced bij stailless steel ones, also new
seals.
- The goodrige hose set for a defender 110 abs is not suited for the rear
axle, car needs one male-male hose and one male-female hose.
- ABS sensor wheel has 60 teeth.
- heavy duty drive members are fitted.
- rear left drive axle had more wear then rightside.
- The new seals of the cylinders leak, new ones are ordered.
- The leftside ball has pittings is been replaced.
- The stub seals and bearings are replaced stubs and balls. 1,4 kg
resistance.
- The clutch liquid has been replaced.

Last year some problem with diesel exhaust values. My general exhaust gas
temperatures are 320 degrees. pre measurement i made a trip of 30 minutes with
exhaust gas temperatures of 550 degrees. No problems with MOD measurement.

Drum handbreak replaced with a disk type one. The supplied cable is for a
righthand drive and level type handbreak, too long. Wich does not realy fit on a
left hand in drumcable break.
Had to make an adapter tube and to reposition the lever of de diskbrake.

From the engine-gear-transfer etc area a not nice sound is comming.
In the begining the sound emerged from 90-100 kmh. At the moment itst starts
at around 80-90 kmh.
With the transfer box in neutral and the car standing the sound cannot be
produced. You have to drive upto 80-90 kmh. When you press then the clutch the
sound is gone and comes back when the clutch is released again. Foot from the
gas has a minor effect on the sound.
Sound at around 50 seconds the sound starts at 1:23 the clutch is
pressed and relaesed

Replaced complete flywheel and clutch system incl spigot bearing. Some play
on dual mass flywheel but flywheel bearing apears to be dry. Plate has no wear.
Pressure spring is not OK.
Gearbox is replaced by reconditioned one from Ashcroft M49536:
I have checked and this unit was a good take out from an auto conversion, it
just had new bearings, seals and syncro rings,
Transfer box reconditioned, new bearing,
seals, copper spacers, bush, Hi gear, intermidiate axlle.
Sound is gone from 80 km but is replaced
by a short resonance at 1550 rpm.

Short resonance is still there.
new silence block for engine and
gearboxes. The silence block at the gearbox from BP is much smaller than the one
from LR. After test, where there was a not pleasent sound when stopping engine,
the silence block replaced by the old one from LR. [Sound gone.]
The resonance at 1500 is there only when
the engine is on temperature. The heater radiator shortcutted, no effect
