From the manual:
The anti-theft alarm ECU is able to control the flashing sequence of the hazard warning lamps.
When the alarm is first armed, the hazard light will flash tree times. When the alarm is disarmed, the hazard lamp will flash once.

There are situations where the alarm should be active but the hazard light should not be seen.

Looking to the circuit of the alarm-ECU you see two wires from the alarm-ecu to a header[C0295] one for the left-hand and the other for the right-hand alarm lights.

C1980-1 over GW to C0295-19. + feed
C1980-6 over GR  to C0295-5.   + feed

Interrupting those lines by a switch should deactivating the alarm lights [ has to be tested, design phase]
